MUNICIPAL LIEN
The Township of Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania files its claim
in the amount of Four Hundred Eighteen and 77/100 ($418.77) Dollars, as of March 31,
2013 and sets forth in support thereof the following:
1. Claimant is the Township of Shippensburg, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, with its principal office located at 81 Walnut Bottom Road, P.O. Box 219,
Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 17257.
2. Suburban Leasing Company is the owner of the property against which
this Municipal Lien is filed and whose last known address is P.O. Box 101,
Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 17257.
3. The property against which this Municipal Lien is filed is all that tract of
land with improvements thereon situated in the Township of Shippensburg, County of
Cumberland, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania being known and numbered as 45
Richard Avenue, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania 17257.
4. The authority under which this Lien is filed is the Municipal Claims Act of
1923, P.L. 207, as amended (53 P.S. §7101, et seq).
5. This Municipal Lien is filed to secure an interest for removal of dangerous
buildings and property clean up after the failure of the Defendants to maintain their
property in accordance with Township Ordinance No. 91 -2.
6. Statement of Claim: See attached Exhibit-"A" reflecting details supporting
total due.
7. The removal charges were duly paid by, and the clean up charges were
duly established, levied and assessed by the Township of Shippensburg, County of
Cumberland, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being the lawful authority for doing so
under certain Ordinance of the Township and pursuant to the Second Class Township
i
Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which govern such matters in which costs
were levied, established and assessed for the purpose for providing for the health,
safety and welfare of the citizens of the Township of Shippensburg.
WHEREFORE for all the above reasons, the Township of Shippensburg hereby
does place a lien against the said property in the amount of $418.77.
