{A) Child Childrgn Grancfchifd Gran�children and Issue. Whenever the terms
"ehild," "chiidren," "grandchitd," "grandchzldren" and "issue" are used herein, such terms shall
be interpreted to include adopted pexsons as well as natural persans, provided in each instance
that the adoptee is under the age of ezghteen (18} years at the time af adoption. Such terms are
also intended to ineiude persons in gestation at any pertinent dme under this Will, provided such
persons survive birth by thairty (30) days.
(l� �ssue.�er stiraes. In spplying any provisian af this Will which refers to
a person's "issue, per stirpes", the children af such person are heads of iheir respective
stocks of issue, whether or nat any child of such persan is then living. Far example, a
disposition in this tiVill to a person's "issue, per stitpes" shalf be deemed to require a
division into a suffieient number of equa! shares ta mako one share for each chiId of such
persan living at the time such disposition becomes effective and one shaxe for each then
deceased child of such persan having oae or more descendantsthen living, regardlass of

(2} Issue, oer ca„pita. In applying any provision of this Will which refers
to a person's "issue, per capita", the phrase shali mean the division of an estate hy giving
an equal share to each of a number of such person's descendants, all af whom stand in
equaI degree to such person, wikhout reference to Yheir stocks or the right af
reprtsentation, Issue, per capita is the antithesis af issue, per stirpes. For example, a
dispasition in this WitE to a decedent's "issue, per capita", assuming that bokh of the
decedenYs two chiTdren (X and Y}predecease the decedent,two grandchildren{A and B}
predecease the decedent{each with surviving issue) and ttu�ee grandchiidren (C, D and E}
are living at the time such dispasirion becomes effective, shall be deemed to require a
didssion into thtee equal shares for each grandohiid (C, D and E) who are living at the
time such disposition becomes effecdve. In the previons exampie, if instead we asswne
