The Community Law Clinic, on behalf of Benjamin J. Ritter, comes;now seelc�t�g `- ' `;
payment for the use of a medical expert and in support thereof represents the following:
1. On May 30, 2013, the Community Law Clinic was appointed by this Honorable Court
as Guardian Ad Litem for Benjamin J. Ritter, an incapacitated person.
2. On June 28, 2013 the Court granted, in part, a motion for continuance to allow this
office time to obtain an expert medical opinion.
3. The Court held proceedings at the scheduled July 1, 2013 hearing date for the limited
purpose of hearing testimony from expert witnesses called by Candi Yinger, mother of the
incapacitate person.
4. At the July 1, 2013 hearing, there was discussion as to the Guardian Ad Litem's role is
in this matter.
5. The Community Law Clinic believes that, in order to adequately represent the best
interests of Benjamin Ritter, it must seek the guidance of a medical expert.
6. Since the July 1, 2013 hearing, the Community Law Clinic has sought the services of
a medical expert and learned that such service would cost approximately $5,000.
7. The Community Law Clinic is a non-profit legal services organization without any
budget to compensate an expert.
8. The Community Law Clinic believes, based on conversation with Mother's counsel
and with Father, that neither Father nor Mother is able to bear this cost.

9. Candi Yinger, through her attorney John Marigan, has been given notice of the
Community Law Clinic's intention to file this motion.
10. Larry Ritter, Father of the incapacitated person, is unrepresented in this matter, and
therefore, has not been given specific notice of the Community Law Clinic's intention to file this
motion.
Wherefore, the Community Law Clinic, on behalf of Benjamin Ritter, requests that this
Honorable Court provide the compensation needed to obtain a medical expert in this matter.
