The Petition of Alan E. Gloger respectfully represents that: � �
1. Lucy C. Hollis died on December 7, 2011, a resident of the Upper Allen
Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, a copy of Decedent's Death
Certificate being attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit"A".
2. Petitioner, Alan E. Gloger, whose address is 814 Kenneth Place, S.E., Leesburg,
Virginia, is the son and orily child of the Decedent.
3. At the time of passing of the Decedent, she was married to Robert J. Hollis.
4. The said Robert J. Hollis died on June 10, 2013, a copy of Decedent Robert J.
Hollis' Death Certificate being atta.ched hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit
«B��.
5. Decedent Lucy C. Hollis' widower and her heir at the time of her passing was
Decedent,Robert J. Hollis.
6. At the time of the passing of Lucy C. Hollis, all of her debts and financial
obligations, including, but not limited to, payment for her funeral expenses,
medical expenses and other debts, expenses and fees associated wi�kh her passing,
were paid by Decedent Robert J. Hollis, in full.
7. At the time of Decedent Robert J. Hollis' passing, his Last Will and Testament
� was probated and your Petitioner, Alan E. Gloger, was appointed as the Executor
of his estate to Docket Number 2013-00707 and PA No. 21-13-0707, with the
Register of Wills' Office for Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, a copy of said
Certificate of Grant of Letters being atta.ched hereto and incorporated herein as
Exhibit"C".
8. In probating and processing the estate of Robert J. Hollis, your Petitioner located
documenta.tion evidencing the apparent ownership of 18 shares of Wal-Mart
Stores, Inc. stock through Computershare of P.O. Box 43080, Providence, Rhode
Island, in the name of Petitioner's mother, Decedent Lucy C. Hollis, said Wal-
Mart Stores, Inc. sta.tement being atta.ched hereto and incorporated herein as
Exhibit"D".
9. From records secured by Petitioner, it appears that the stocks existed in the
individual name of Lucy C. Hollis at the time of her passing on December 7,
2011.
10. The only asset of which Petitioner is aware that was in the individual name of
Decedent Lucy C. Hollis at the time of her passing was the Wal-Mart stocks so
referenced.
11. Had an estate been probated at the time of the passing of Lucy C. Hollis, or had a
Petition for Settlement of a Small Esta.te or other Petition been filed at that time
by her widower, Decedent Robert J. Hollis, the Wa1-Mart Stores, Inc. stocks
owned in the individual name of Decedent Lucy C. Hollis would have passed to
Decedent Robert J. Hollis by operation of law as no other assets existed in
Decedent Lucy C. Hollis' individual name at the time of her passing.
12. The Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. stocks would, therefore, have been taxed at a "0" rate
through their passing from Decedent Lucy C. Hollis to her widower, Decedent
Robert J. Hollis.
13. The passing of Robert J. Hollis has now created a situation where the surviving
spouse of Lucy C. Hollis and, therefore, the individua.l who had any authority to
serve as personal representative of the estate of Lucy C. Hollis is deceased and the
sole remaining individual with authority to serve as personal representative of the
� estate of Lucy C. Hollis is your Petitioner herein.
14. All known debts in existence at the time of the passing of Decedent Lucy C.
Hollis attributable to her alone, as well as a11 debts associated with her passing,
have been paid in full at the time of her passing.
15. There are no claimants or creditors of Decedent Lucy C. Hollis of whom
Petitioner has knowledge and there is no evidence in the records of Decedent
Robert J. Hollis to suggest any such creditors or claimants existed at the time of
her passing or now.
16. The costs and fees associated with probating the Decedent Lucy C. Hollis' estate,
including the filing of an Inheritance Tax Retum and related actions would exceed
the limited value of the Wa1-Mart Stores, Inc. stocks.
17. The current value of the Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. stocks is $1,394.74 as per the
sta.tement of value which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit
«E��
18. Provisions of 20 Pa.C.S. §3012 a11ow for the Court to order distribution of the
Wa1-Mart Stores, Inc. stocks still held in the name of Decedent Lucy C. Hollis to
be distributed to the estate of her heir at the time of her passing, Decedent Robert
J. Hollis.
19. The esta.te of Robert J. Hollis has assets that will exceed$400,000.00.
20. There are no other parties to whom notice of this Petition is required to be
provided.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner requests your Honorable Court to issue an Order
authorizing your Petitioner, Alan E. Gloger, to execute any and a11 necessary documents
necessary to liquidate the Wa1-Mart Stores, Inc. stocks held in the name of Decedent
Lucy C. Hollis and to have the proceeds from said liquidation pay able to the Robert J.
Hollis Estate.
