PETITION TO AWARD OWNERSHIP OF VEHICLE
1. I am the Plaintiff in the matter and seek ownership of an abandoned 2000 DODGE STRATUS
SEDAN, VIN 1B3EJ46X2YN228693. Vehicle is registered to a person who no longer resides in
the state of Pennsylvania and has been in my possession.
2. I have been unable to contact the owner. The phone number has been disconnected and no
forwarding address was left at their residence. I have exhausted all efforts to contact the owner in
order to obtain the signature required by the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles to
transfer ownership.
3. I represent that the information is true and correct.
WHEREFORE, I request that the Court permit me to obtain ownership of the referenced vehicle.

IN RE: PETITION TO AWARD OWNERSHIP OF VEHICLE
ORDER OF COURT
AND NOW, this O?day of November 2013, upon consideration of Plaintiffs
Petition to Award Ownership of Vehicle, the Petition is DENIED for failure to follow the
procedures set forth by PennDOT for Involuntary Transfer of Ownership of a Vehicle by
Court Order. The Petition fails to-set forth enough facts and circumstances to allow this
Court to determine ownership. Further, it appears that Petitioner has not fulfilled the
requirements of notice by, inter alia, advertising a legal notice at least once in the legal
journals for the county where the interested person may be located and where the
vehicle is located, if these two locations are different, and at least once per week for
three consecutive weeks in the newspapers of general circulation where the interested
party may be located and where the vehicle is located, if these two locations are
different.
