HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-6761 IN RE: APPOINTMENT OF : CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA CUSTODY CONCILIATOR • CIVIL ACTION—LAW • • 2013-6761 CIVIL TERM ORDER OF COURT AND NOW, this 21st day of November, but effective as of the 1st day of January, 2014, between CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT OF COMMON PLEAS (Court) and Jacqueline M. Verney, Esquire, (Attorney). WHEREAS,the Court desires to contract with attorney as a custody conciliator within Cumberland County. 1. Recitals. The above recitals are incorporated herein by this reference. 2. Independent Contractor. Attorney is not an employee of the County,but for all purposes shall be considered an independent contractor. 3. Appointment and Administration of Agreement. The Court may appoint Attorney as a custody conciliator on an as needed basis. The Agreement shall be administered by the Court Administrator of Cumberland County 4. Compensation. Compensation for Attorney shall be at the rate of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)per hour. 5. Termination. 5.1 Court Termination. The Court may terminate this Agreement without cause for its own convenience upon providing thirty(30) days prior written notice. 5.2 Attorney Termination. Attorney may terminate this Agreement for his/her own convenience upon providing thirty(30)days prior written notice to the President Judge; provided, however, as to open matters to which Attorney has been appointed, the President Judge may condition such Attorney termination upon such terms and conditions as the President Judge determines necessary in his sole discretion. 6. Insurance. Attorney shall maintain Professional Liability Insurance for the coverage and amount approved by the Court Administrator and shall provide proof of same to the Court Administrator. 7.
