Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr. Griffie's Petition to Withdraw
as my Counsel. Since I did not receive the copy of your Order regarding Mr.
Griffie's Petition until the evening of Friday, November 22, 2013, there is
insufficient time for me to secure representation by anyone else by the time
of your scheduled hearing at 1:15 pm on November 27, 2013.
I am unable to travel due to a long-standing back problem. Mr. Griffie had
filed a Petition supported by a letter from my doctor requesting that I be
permitted to testify by telephone at the hearing scheduled for 1:30 pm on
November 27, 2013. You approved that request.
Therefore, I need to request that I be permitted to represent myself and
testify by phone at the 1:15 pm hearing, also. If that is acceptable, I would
ask that I be notified how the telephone contact is set up. Does someone
from the Court call me? If so, my phone number is 610-363-5492.
If I need to call into the Court, I need to know what number to call.
Since the time allotted for the 1:15 pm hearing is limited, I am enclosing
some information for your review, if you choose, prior to the hearing, which
explains my side of the situation which is centered on my focus of wanting to
act in the best interest of our mother by maximizing the net proceeds from
the sale of our mother's house in a timely manner so as to make thosg;
proceeds available to her for her continuing skilled nursing care at ThaMwa
Home in Carlisle.
