I understand that you have questions concerning the Renunciation of the one son,Nima Mir Eshghi,who resides in Terhan,Iran. We are requesting that you accept the Renunciation for filing,even though it indicates"authentication of the finger print" instead of"authentication of the signature". If you note,both this Renunciation and that of his brother,Kaveh Mir-Eshghi,were done by the same Embassy, but executed by different officials. I'm not sure why one used the word "signature" and the other used "fingerprint", but on the one in question, there is no fingerprint to authenticate on either the Renunciation or the Passport,which was given for identification purposes, a copy of which was attached to the Renunciation. Perhaps the difference in wording between the two Renunciations has to do with the linguistic skills of the individual who was authenticating the Renunciation, or, in the alternative, may have used a local idiom in place of the word"signature". There is,however,a signature on both documents which could be authenticated. It certainly is clear from the document that Mr.Nima Mir Eshghi appeared before the authenticating officer with Renunciation and proved his identity by way of his Passport. It also appears that he intended for the officer to authenticate his signature on the Renunciation or he never would have appeared before him. Hopefully,since the son in question did everything we asked of him in going to the Embassy to have his document authenticated,you will see fit to issue Letters of Administration so that we can begin the administration of an estate that, unfortunately, is overdue.
