ORDER
AND NOW, this 16`' day of January, 2014 at 11:123 o'clock a-.m., upon
consideration of the Petition of Cumberland County Aging and Community Services for
an Emergency Order to Provide Protective Services, and based upon the finding that there is
clear and convincing evidence of the need for an emergency Order to provide protective services
for Respondent Lyda Gallagher, it is hereby ORDERED as follows:
1. Cumberland County Aging and Community Services is hereby appointed as
provider of protective services for Respondent Lyda Gallagher;
2. A peace officer together with a representative or representatives of Cumberland
County Aging and Community Services are authorized to enter Respondent's
residence, forcibly if necessary, to secure Respondent and transport her
to Holy Spirit Hospital by ambulance;
3. Cumberland County Aging and Community Services is authorized to have
Respondent screened and provided any medically necessary treatment; and
4. After any medically necessary treatment is provided to Respondent,provided
this Order has not expired, Cumberland County Aging and Community Services
is authorized to arrange for Respondent's admission to a nursing facility.
This Order shall remain in effect for a period of 72 hours commencing on the date
and time indicated above.
A hearing is hereby scheduled on the Petition of Cumberland County Aging and
Community Services to take place at the Cumberland County Courthouse, One Courthouse
Square, Carlisle, Pennsylvania at o2,0 6 o'clock-P-m. on the,7/ day of
2014, in Courtroom No. _.
