All of the proposed appointees have agreed to serve for the term expiring the 1" Monday of January, 2018. 4. Pursuant to Section 2675 of the Pennsylvania Election Code, 25 P.S. § 2675, no appointment shall be made unless notice of the hearing to consider such appointment shall be provided to electors by the posting of such notice at the district polling place, and in the immediate vicinity, at least five days prior thereto. 5. The Board also requests the opportunity at such hearing to propose appointments in the event any vacancies in district election boards shall occur between the date of filing this Petition and the date of the hearing to be scheduled by this Court, provided the Board complies with the required notice described in paragraph 4. WHEREFORE, the Petitioner, Cumberland County Board of Elections, by and through its Solicitor, Edward L. Schorpp, Esquire, respectfully prays that this Honorable Court to enter an Order directing the posting of the affected polling places and scheduling a hearing in the within matter; and upon hearing,to enter an appropriate Order appointing persons to fill such vacancies. A Petition for the appointment of persons to fill vacancies in County District Election Boards was filed with your Honorable Court on April 29, 2014. 3. In response to the Petition, a hearing has been scheduled on May 14, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. in courtroom #4. 4. The Petition erroneously stated that a vacancy existed in the office of Minority Inspector in the Wormleysburg 1 Election District and proposed to fill said office. 5. No vacancy exists in the office of Minority Inspector in the Wormleysburg 1 Election district and Petitioner requests that it be removed from the list of vacancies. 6. The Board also requested the opportunity at the hearing to propose appointments in the event any vacancies in District Election Boards shall occur between the date of filing of the Petition and the date of the hearing. 7. A vacancy has occurred in the office of Minority Inspector in the Hampden 3 Election District. 8. The Cumberland County Board of Elections has proposed to the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas that Selinda Homsey be appointed to fill the unexpired term of that office.
