There are no known liens or encumbrances against the vehicle. 7. Petitioner requests a Certificate of Title for the vehicle for the following reasons: In August I began to look for myself a 4WD canto purchase to use in the winter months ahead. At work I had heard from a co-worker about an inexpensive 4WD Jeep Grand Cherokee for sale. When I had went to look at the car there were definite problems that needed to be fixed like, a new battery because the owner had not been driving it for awhile, the tires needed replaced, the front driver's side power window needed a motor, it had over 200,000 miles, and other cosmetic details that would need to be addressed. However, for the cheap price of $300 dollars, my father assured me that we could have it fixed to be an extra car to drive in the winter. Therefor I had purchased the Jeep from Mr. Melara and he had signed the title over to me and 1 had thought I would be good to go. At the time I did not realize that it had to be a notarized signature until' I tried to have the title transfered. Then I quickly called Mr. Melara in which he agreed to meet me at a nortory to have this problem fixed but later would not answer any of my additional calls. 1 have attempted to get in to contact with Mr. Melara numerous times but have been unsuccessful. I have even went to his address but there was no one to help in my search. After talking to different car notories and to PennDot, I'was told I would need to take legal action to get a title in my name. Therefor, I am writing this Petition to request a Certificate of Title for my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee because 1 would like to start fixing the problems so that it is ready to drive for winter.
