Re: Estate of William D. Thorne
Dear Attorney Duncan:
Please be advised that Rudy Garland, the sole heir to the Estate of William D. Thorne,
has contacted me to assist her in probating the document. There is currently a real estate
Agreement of Sale for Mr. Thorne's property awaiting probate of this Estate.
It is my understanding that Ms. Garland personally came to your office and requested
William D. Thorne's original Will and it was denied. She was advised that you would only turn it
over to an attorney. Therefore, please let this correspondence serve as a specific request that
the original Last Will and Testament of William D. Thorne be transmitted to my office. Or, if you
prefer, I will come and pick it up personally.
16 addition, Ms. Garland has also requested that if you are in possession of her original
Will, the same should either be mailed directly to her or provided to me as her representative.
If you are unable to comply with this request, you are directed to contact me
immediately. Otherwise, I will expect either a phone call when it is available for pick-up or to
receive it first class mail.
Please be advised that the Register of Wills is awaiting this original Will to determine the. ,
necessity of setting a hearing and has been gracious enough to wait until such time as you have
responded to this request and, hopefully, provided the original document.
