IN RE: PETITION FOR APPOINTMENT OF CO-GUARDIANS OF THE PERSON AND
ESTATE OF AN ALLEGED INCAPACITATED PERSON
ORDER OF COURT
AND NOW, this 9th day of February 2015, upon review of the Petition for
Appointment of Co-Guardians of the Person and Estate of an Alleged Incapacitated
Person, the Court appoints Wayne F. Shade, Esquire, as Guardian ad litem for
Rebecca M. Maurer, with compensation to be provided pursuant to 20 Pa.C.S. §
5511(c). As Guardian ad litem, Wayne F. Shade, Esquire shall be permitted to utilize
any relevant fact witnesses or experts to assist in the determination of incapacity of the
Rebecca M. Maurer by this Court.
It is hereby ORDERED and DIRECTED that a hearing is scheduled for
April 2, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in Courtroom Number Six of the Cumberland County
Courthouse, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. A CITATION is issued upon Rebecca M. Maurer to
show reason, if any, why she should not be adjudicated an incapacitated person and
why a successor guardian should not be appointed. Written notice of the petition and
hearing in large type and in simple language shall be given to Rebecca M. Maurer no
less than twenty (20) days prior to the hearing in accordance with 20 P.S. 5511(a).

Furthermore, the alleged incapacitated person shall be in attendance at the
hearing unless it can be established by her physician that her mental or physical
condition would be harmed by her presence at the hearing. This may be established in
the form of written interrogatories. Alternatively, if available, presence may be done via
two way audio / video conference.
