Estate mJoan Alexander'Disclaimer
Dear Mr. Bach,
After our conversation yesterday, | reviewed the Pennsylvania Pnobate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code sections
pertaining to disclaimer by a personal representative on behalf of a decedent. Under 20 Pa. C.S. 6202, a personal
representative may disclaim on behalf of a decedent, but must first obtain court authorization for such disclaimer
from the court with jurisdiction over the estate, Therefore, if you wish to proceed with the disclaimer, you will first
need to obtain court authorization for such disclaimer in Cumberland County.
Once you have obtained such authohzaUon, please send an exemplified copy ofthe court, order to"rne at the
address below so that I may record it with the Allegheny County Register of Wills. We may then proceed with
drafting the actual disclaimer.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Best regards,
