Charles Sambs being duly sworn according to law, declares and
says, that he is a native of Munich, Germany; and a subject of the
Trnperor of Germany; that he is now residing in Mt . Holly Spring , in
said County and State; that he is forty-four years of age, or there-
abouts , and that it is bona f_i.de his intention to become a citizen of
the United States , and to renounce forever all allegiance and fiaelity
to any foreign prince , potentate , state , or sovereignty whatever, and
particularly°to the .mperor of Germany, of whom he is now a subject .
