Dear Mrs. Lewis:
Enclosed please find application in triplicate for waiver for
718 shares of the Common Stock of the Commonwealth National Bank.
Your records will show that the tax in this estate is fully
paid and also that a tax waiver was previously issued by your predecessor
in office for the estate's holding of 1600 shares of Commonwealth National
Bank. This waiver was delivered to a broker to complete a sale of a
portion of that stock. The 718 shares remaining were in the hands of
another bank as collateral security for certain loans, and, therefore,
a transfer of that stock was not made at that time.
It is now necessary to transfer the remaining 718 shares and,
therefore, another tax waiver is needed. This is a partial duplication of
the one already issued, but there seems no other way to handle the problem.
