NELLIE M. STRAYER, being duly sworn according to law,
deposes and says that she was the sole owner of funds contained in a checking
account with the Dauphin Deposit Bank and Trust Company in the name of
Mabel E, Strayer and Nellie M. Strayer, account number 82-48-042-7.
Said account was previously established for the use of both
parties, but prior to Mabel E. Strayer's admittance to a nursing home in
early 1978 no funds were contributed to the account by Mabel E. Strayer, nor
were funds withdrawn by her. The last known deposit of Mabel E. Strayer's
funds was prior to January 1, 1978 and she wrote no checks on the account
for two (2) years prior to her death.
The account was, for the entire year 1978 to Mabel E. Strayer's
death, used solely for miscellaneous household expenses unrelated to Mabel
E. Strayer's support or maintenance and solely for the benefit of Nellie M.
Stra yer.
All funds in the account as of the date of death of Mabel E.
Strayer were contributed by Nellie M. Strayer and were her sole property.
Only as an oversight was the name of Mabel E. Strayer retained on the account.
