Boody File No. 21-78-0497 DOD 8-29-78 Dear Mrs. Richard: We have received your letter in the above-captioned matter and according to our files no tax is due. The value of the estate was $24,047.71, of which $20,615.32 passed to a son, and of which $3,432.29 was jointly held property which survived to a sister. From the gross estate were deductible debts and deductions excluding a mobile home debt attributable to jointly held property, which debts and deductions were S5~229.66~ This left a net estate of $18,818.05, of which $15,385.66 went to a son and was taxable at 6% for tax in the amount of $923.14. The remaining -S3, 432.39- survived to a sister, but from that was deducted 50% of an outstanding installment loan on it in the amount of $1858.96, leaving a net taxable estate to the sister of $1573.43, upon which tax at 15% was $236.01. Tax therefore totaled $1,159.15, all of which was paid within nine months from the date of death, the last payment having been made March 15, 1979. Very truly yours, ARNOLD, SLIKE & BAYLEY ~'~ JKA/Mc cc: Mr. William Boody
