PETITION
1. Petitioner is Comronwealth National Bank, guardian of the Estate of
Jessica Thorne.
2. Jessica Thorne is presently 17 years of age and will attain her majority
in February 1990.
3. Jessica Thorne has quit school and has stated that she is an emancipated
person and desires that her trust account be delivered to her.
4. Jessica Thorne has requested that the bank purchase a new automobile for
her use and for transportation to and from errployrnent as her present rrotor
vehicle is subject to breakdown. She desires a new Volkswagen costing
$14,868.00. The market value of her account is $25,430.93.
5. The guardian has miscellaneous medical and other bills relating to Miss
Thorne and in the event the Court does not order the deliver of the account to
her, then it is requested that the guardian be given discretionary authority
to disburse income and principal, if necessary, of up to $250.00 without leave
of Court. Petitioner also seeks permission to pay Robert L. O'Brien, Esquire,
attorney for the Estate of Jessica Thorne, in the arrount of $175.00.
WHEREFORE, the Petitioner respectfully requests:
a. That the Court set a hearing to make a detennination as to the
disposition of the account held by Commonwealth National Bank;

b. That if the Court does not deliver the full amount to Jessica
Thorne that the Court consider the requests by Jessica Thorne for the purchase
of an autom:>bile, as well as the guardian for discretionary authority in
paying Jessica's creditors, including her attorney.

ORDER OF COURT
AND NOW, this II~
day of May, 1989, after hearing, the
Commonwealth National Bank, guardian of the Estate of Jessica J.
Thorne, is hereby authorized to distribute from her trust account and
on her behalf the following:
1. An amount not to exceed $10,500 to Varsity Volkswagen for the
purchase of an automobile.
2. An amount not to exceed $4,500.00 to pay for a policy of
automobile insurance for the said Jessica J. Thorne.
3. Such sums necessary to satisfy any and all outstanding
medical bills and invoices in the possession of Commonwealth National
Bank.
3. Such sums as are necessary to pay the attorney's fee of
Robert L. O'Brien, Esquire.
The said Commonwealth National Bank is further authorized to
place the balance of the funds in the guardian account of Jessica
Thorne in a certificate of deposit to mature and/or to be payable to
the said Jessica Thorne no earlier than her eighteenth birthday.
