Dear Judge Sheely:
This letter will confirm the telephone conversation that I had on
July 14, 1992 with your secretary indicating that a hearing had
been scheduled on the petition of appointment of a guardian for
Richard I. Bollendorf on August 10, 1992 at 1:30 P.M. in Courtroom
One. Concurrent with the mailing of this letter, notices have been
set by certified mail to Mr. W. Robert Bollendorf and Mr. Joseph
M. Bollendorf, brothers of Richard I. Bollendorf, the Blue Ridge
Haven - West Nursing Home, and the Cumberland County Mental Health
Office. In accordance with the provisions of the preliminary
decree, Richard I. Bollendorf was served personally.
Pursuant to 20 Pa. C.S.A. ~5511(a), I would like to bring to the
Court's attention the fact that Richard I. Bollendorf has not
retained counsel to represent him at the hearing noted above. It
is anticipated that the petition for the appointment of a guardian
for Richard I. Bollendorf will be unopposed and that the evidence
of Mr. Bollendorf's physical and mental incapacity will be
convincing. Nevertheless, please notify me if the Court elects to
appoint counsel for Mr. Bollendorf. Thank you.
