Re: Estate of Grace E. Hempt
Dear Mr. Fearen:
This is to confirm our settlement concerning the stock
valuation of 6000 shares of C. A. Hempt Estate, Inc. We agreed that
the value per share should be reduced from $31.97 to $21.98 in light
of the lack of marketability of the stock.
I have prepared the enclosed Stipulation and Order of Court
confirming our agreement and directing that the appraised value be
reduced. If you find them to be acceptable, please execute the original
and forward it to the Court in order that the Order may be issued. A
certified copy of the Stipulation and Order should then be sent to my
attention in order that I may direct the Inheritance Tax Division to
instruct the Register of Wills to amend the inheritance tax records.
Your cooperation in the prompt and reasonable settlement of
this issue is appreciated.
