Citation to Pay Inheritance Tax
Dear Judge Shughart:
A hearing has been set for June 13, 1980 in regard to the payment
of inheritance tax due in the captioned estate. The total tax outstanding at
the time the Petition was presented to the Court was $7,575.72 plus interest
from August 4, 1979.
On June 3, 1980, I spoke with Attorney Howell E. Mette who informed
me that a payment of $6,000 had recently been made and that the remaining
inheritance tax due would be paid shortly after July 7, 1980, at which time a
sale of real estate is scheduled.
Accordingly, it appears that this action will be amicably settled
shortly after the sale on July 7, 1980 and that no hearing before the Court
should be necessary. Mr. Mette and I respectfully request that the Court
continue this action generally with leave to the Department of Revenue to
reschedule a hearing if necessary. Attached for your consideration is a
proposed Order of Court.

of Revenue will file a discontinuance of the action and notify your office.
