The Defendant was hired to repair the roof and do to were both the house roof and the kitchen roof met, the defendant told the Baker's that all the roofs on the house had to be done not just the kitchen roof, the plaintiffs said they would not pay to do the repairs the tight way,and I told them that you can't but metal roofing up to a shingled roof or it will not seal properly, the plaintiffs said do the job anyway we will do the rest of the roofs in the spring of 2005. A. When the Defendant prepped the area before putting the metal down he first put metal flashing rolled out and tucked under the shingled roof, then the Defendant put rain and ice guard over the metal flashing, then the metal roof, and then a custom bent piece of metal that went under the shingles and over the new metal and then sealed. B. Lapping of the metal roofing material does not mailer it is all made to tit on either end. 5. As the Defendant I feel I should not have to pay $1751. 91 for water damage that could have been prevented if the Plaintiffs would have spent the extra money the insurance company didn't give. . -.
