Enclosed please find a payment on account of inheritance tax for John H. Hess, deceased.
All of his accounts were jointly owned with his daughter, Barbara A. Shade. Therefore, his Will will
not need to be probated. I am also enclosing two copies each of the Information Notices and
Taxpayer Responses which were sent to Barbara Shade regarding two accounts at PNC Bank which
she and her father held jointly. Please notice that she has checked box "B" on each form and
indicated that the asset will be reported and tax paid with the P A Inheritance Tax Return.
Please be so kind as to note the postmark date of June 6, 2006 as the date of payment in
order for Mrs. Shade to avail herself of the opportunity to make this payment within the discount
period.
