PETITION FOR APPEAL FROM ORDER OF DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION SUSPENDING REGISTRATION
1. Your Petitioner, Christopher J. Evers, is an individual residing at 423 North
Second Street, 1 st Floor, W ormleysburg, P A 17043
2. On or about May 16,2006. Petitioner received a Notice from the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation notifying him that the present registration for his
1993 Jeep, bearing title number 46479912 was to be suspended on June 20, 2006
unless this order was appealed.
3. This suspension arises out of Petitioners alleged failure to keep the vehicle
properly insured.
4. Petitioner states that he did not let the insurance lapse on this vehicle as
determined by the department of transportation.

5. That Petitioner further states that he complied with all applicable laws and
requirements regarding his insurance requirements.
6. Petitioner also states that ifhis license was suspended, he would be unable to
work and maintain his livelihood in every aspect.
7. That this is not the intent of section 1786( d) of the Vehicle Code.
8. That Petitioners suspension should automatically be stayed upon filing of this
petition and timely notice to the Department of Transportation.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioner respectfully requests this appeal be granted and,
in the interim, this Honorable Court enter a stay of suspension of Petitioners
registration pending this appeal.

AND NOW, this 26th day of July, 2006, upon consideration of the within
Petition, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND DIRECTED that a hearing shall be held
regarding this matter on the 27th day of October, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom NO.5
of the Cumberland County Courthouse, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
IT IS FURHTER ORDERED AND DIRECTED that the Order issued by the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation suspending Petitioner's registration is
stayed pending the outcome of this hearing. Notice of said hearing shall be sent by
certified mail to the Department of Transportation by Petitioner's Attorney at least sixty
days prior to the date of the hearing.
