Dear Sir/Madame:
I am writing on behalf of Kathleen Barnes, who as joint owner of the
decedent's lifetime accounts, is filing the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax
Return. Please note a Will has not been filed of record and, therefore,
this is a no-letters probate. Enclosed please find the documents listed
below:
1. The Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Return (Schedules F and H), filed
in duplicate;
2. The Inventory filed in duplicate.
You will note that tax in the amount of $3,088.15 is calculated to be
due. Crediting the on-account payment ($2,895) and discount ($145.00)
against the tax, a balance of $193.15 is due and owing. Accordingly, I have
included Mrs. Barnes' check No. 102 made payable to Register of Wills,
Agent, in the amount of $193.15 representing payment of the tax obligation.
