Petition
Christopher Polovina and Laura Farrell through their Attorneys, Richard P. Mislitsky,
Esquire, and Daniel J. Menniti, Esquire, respectfully petition this Honorable Court to authorize
that a marriage license, pursuant to 23 Pa.C.S.A. S 1303(b), be issued to them prior to the third
day following the making of an application thereof.
This exception to the waiting period, required by 23 Pa.C.S.A. S 1303(a), is requested
because of the following extraordinary circumstances. The aforementioned couple live in Costa
Mesa, California. The prospective bride was raised in Newville, Cumberland County, and
desires to be married on September 30,2006 in the latter county where her parents reside. The
couple arrived in Newville on September 27,2006 unaware of the mandated waiting period after
application for the license. All preparations have been made for the wedding on September 30,
2006, and it would be impossible to change them at this late date.
WHEREFORE, this couple respectfully requests that the Petition be granted.
