Plaintiff, Verizon Pennsylvania Inc. (hereinafter "Verizon), is a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with offices located at 1717 Arch Street, 23rd Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103. 2. Defendant, Alex Arndt, is an adult individual, residing at 29 Riverview Drive, Enola, Cumberland County, PA 17025. 3. On or about September 4, 2005, Defendant, Alex Arndt, was operating a motor vehicle eastbound on Trindle Road, near St. Marks Road, in Hampden Township, Cumberland County, PA. 4. Defendant, Alex Arndt, operated his vehicle negligently and carelessly, such that it left the roadway and struck a utility pole owned by Verizon Pennsylvania Inc. 5. At the scene Defendant, Alex Arndt, reported to police officers that he did not know what happened and that this had happened to him before, that is, having an accident and not remembering how it occurred. 6. Defendant, Alex Arndt, was negligent in that he: a. failed to keep proper control of his vehicle; E i b c. Pennsylvania; failed to keep his vehicle on the traveled roadway; operated his vehicle in violation of the laws of the Commonwealth of d• operated his vehicle when he suffered from some condition such that he should not have been operating a motor vehicle. 7. As a result of the negligence and carelessness of Defendant, Alex Arndt, Verizon Pennsylvania Inc: suffered damages to its property and facilities, including: a. the utility pole; and b. the property and facilities connected to the utility pole. 8. Verizon Pennsylvania Inc. incurred expenses in the amount of $11,439.41 for the repair of the damage to its facilities and property sustained as a result of the negligence of Alex Arndt. WHEREFORE, Plaintiff, Verizon Pennsylvania Inc., demands judgment in its favor in the amount of $11,439.41, plus interest, costs of suit, and damages for delay.
