Dear Ms. Strasbaugh:
An additional assessment was levied in the amount of $60 in this Estate, ostensibly for a deficiency
in probate. If you review Schedule E, however, you will note that the probate assets consisted of
$1902.17. Item 1 of that Schedule was a prime money market fund with beneficiaries, so that it
was not probate. Pursuant to the instructions of the fuheritance Tax Bureau, such assets are to be
reported on Schedule E. Nonetheless, it should not be included in determining probate assets.
We understand how, on an initial review, it would be likely that such sums would be included in
determining the probate account. We trust that upon closer review your record be revised to
indicate total probate of less than $3000. Initially the sum of $3000 was declared on the Probate
Petition.
