I am a representative of Erie Insurance Group ("Erie") and as such am fully familiar with the facts and circumstances underlying the above-captioned matter. 2. Erie is subrogated to its insured, Rebecca Bond, in connection with a loss that occurred on January 6, 2006, which is the incident giving rise to this matter. 3. Pursuant to the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act of 1940, as modified by the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act of 2003, this affidavit is submitted as proof that Brandon Ritchie is not presently in active service in any branch of the United States Military. 4. As proof of the military/non-military status of Brandon Ritchie, the undersigned contacted the Defense Manpower Data Center which provided written verification of such status, attached hereto as Exhibit A. 5.
