The plalnliff moves the Court for an Order conlinulna aenerally the above-captioned case
on the aroundsthat:
I. A Temporary Protective Order was Issued by this Court on lanuary 10, 1994,
schedullna a hearlna for lanuary 19, 1994, at 11:30 a.m. which was rescheduled to February
7, 1994, at 2:00 p.m. due to Inclement weather.
2. The Cumberland County Sherlfrs Department served the defendant with a
certified copy of the Temporary Protective Order and Petition for Protection From Abuse on
lanuar)', 12, 1994, at approximately 4:~~ p.m. at his residence.
3. The defendant is represented by Michael L, Banas of ANDES, V AUOHN &
BANOS. On February 4, 1994, Mr. Banas Indicated to Leaal Services, Inc. that II was likely
an aareement could be reached by the parties in this mailer and aareed that the hearina
scheduled for February 7, 1994, be conlinued to afford him time to review the documents with
his clleDt.

and, as she drove away, the defendant raMMed the back of her

plaintiff fell red for her life.
e. Throughout their relationship, since apprllxlllllltely 1985, the
defendant has abused the plalntlfl' In ways Includlnl, but not
limited to the follOWing: pushing, shovIrla, slapplna,
punchlna, kicking, chok I nil , and pulling her hall'. Durlna
their relationship the defendant has threatened to kill the
plaint Iff numerous times and has threatened to kill her If she
eVilI' left him.

and pro sent danger of abuse from the defendant Ilnd that she Is In need of
protection from such abuse.
