AND NOW, comee the above-named Plaintiff, Jean Christie, by
and through her attorney, The Law Offices of Patrick F. Lauer, Jr.,
and makee the following Complaint in Divorcel
l. The Plaintiff, Jean Christie, is an adult individual who
currently resides at 203 Woodlawn Lane, Carlisle, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania.
2. The Defendant, Rick Christie, is an adult individual who
currently residee at 203 Woodlawn Lane, Carlisle, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania.
3. The Plaintiff and the Defendant have been residents of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for at least six months immediately
prior to the filing of this Complaint.
4. The Plaintiff and the Defendant were married on July 4,
19S5 in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
5. There has never been a prior action of divorce or annulment
between the parties.
6. There are three (3) children by this marriage, namely, Ian
Richard Christie, born December 23, 1987, Jillian Rose Christie,
born June 29, 1989, and Patrick Ryan Christie, June B, 1992.
7. The grounds for the divorce are as followSl
a). The marriage is irretrievably broken.
B. The Plaintiff has been advised of the availability of
marriage counseling and that the Plaintiff may have the right to
request that the Court require the parties to participate in
counseling.
WHEREFORE, the Plaintiff requests this Honorable Court to
enter a Decree of Divorce in this matter pursuant to 330l (cl of
the Divorce Code.
COUNT II - BOUITABLB DISTRIBUTION
9. Paragraphs one (11 through eight (01 are incorporated
herein by reference thereto.
lO. Plaintiff requests Your Honorable Court to equitably
divide, distribute or assign the marital property betwsen the
parties without regard to marital misconduct in such proportion as
the Court deems just after consideration of all relevant factors.
WHERBFORE, Plaintiff respectfully requests the Court to enter
an Order of Equitable Distribution of marital property pursuant to
23 Pa. C.S.A. 3502 (c) of the Divorce Code.

l7. Plaintiff does not know of a person not a party to the
proceedings who has physical custody of the children or claims to
have custody or visitation rights with respect to the children.
lB. The best interest and permanent welfare of the child will
be served by granting the relief requested because,
(al The Plaintiff has been the primary caretaker of the
children since their birth I
(b) The Plaintiff is better suited to care for the children
and has spent all of her time caring for the children I and
(c) There is a close bond between the Plaintiff and her
children.
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff requests the court to grant custody of
the children.
