CIVIL ACTION - LAW ORDER AND DECREE ('II { , I ~ AND NOW, this ~ day of ~, 1994, upon presentation and consideration of the Petition for Appointment of Dickinson College Private Police, it is ORDERED AND DECREED as follows: 1. Matthew V. Hollis, 135 Buford Ave., 2nd Floor, Gettysburg, PA 17325, is hereby appointed pursuant to 22 Pa. C.S. ~501 to act as a private police officer for the Dickinson College Campus. 2. That before commencing the duties of a private police officer for Dickinson College, said Appointee shall take and subscribe to the following oath of office as required by Article 6, Section 3 of the Constitution of Pennsylvania, which oath shall be recorded by the Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, obey and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this Commonwealth and that I will discharge the duties of my office with fidelity. 3, Said Appointee shall, when on duty, wear a metall ic shield with the words "Special Officer, Dickinson College" inscribed thereon. CIVIL ACTION - LAW PETITION FOR APPOINTMENT OF DICKINSON COLLEGE PRIVATE POLICE AND NOW, Dickinson College, by its attorneys, McNees, Wallace & Nurick, respectfully request that the court appoint a private police officer for the Dickinson College Campus, and in support of its request states as follows: 1. The Petitioner, Dickinson College (hereinafter "Petitioner"), is a non-profit corporation existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and operates a college at Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. 2. The Petitioner's campus consists of large areas of grounds which are open to the public in and around the Borough of Carlisle. 3. Section 501 of P.L. 1063, No, 271, dated November 15, 1972, as amended, (22 Pa.
