NOW THEREFORE this agreement witnesseth that the said Contractor for and In consideration of one
dollar to him In hand paid by Owner, the receipt whereof Is hereby acknowledged, and the further considera-
tions mentioned In the agreement aforesaid, and Intending to be legally bound hereby, for himself and his
, sub-contraclors and materialmen, and all parties acllng through or under him, covenants and agrees that no
mechanics' claims or liens shalt be flied or maintained by him, them or any of them against the said bUlfdlng
and the lot of ground appurtenant thereto, or any of them, for, or on account of any work or materials
furnished by him, them, or any of them, under said cotract or otherwise, for,toward,ln or about the erection
and construction of the said buildings, or any of them, and the said Contractor, for himself and his sub-
contractors and materialmen and others under him, hereby expresslywalves and relinquishes the right to
have, file or maintain any mechanic's lien or claim against the said buildings, or any of them, and agrees that
this agreement waiving the right of lien shall be an Independent covenant,
