within Petitioll, and upon finding that the plaintiff, Kristen L. Bitncr, now residing at 150 Wolfs
Bridge Road, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pcnnsylvania, is in immediate and prcscnt dangcr
of abuse from the defendant, Lawrence R. Sheller, Jr.. the following Temporary Order is
entered.
The defendant, Lawrcnce R. Shellcr, Jr.. (SSN: Unknown)(Date of BIrth: 7/13/67) now
residing at 1445A Mt. Holly "ike, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, is hereby
enjoined from physically abusing the plaintiff, Kristen L. Bitncr, or placing her in fear of abuse,
The defendant is ordered to stay away from the plaintiff's residence located at 150 Wolfs
Bridge Road, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, a residcnce to which the plaintiff and
her minor children moved to avoid abuse, which Is not owned or leased by the defcndant.
The defendant is ordercd to refrain from having any direct or indirect contact with the
plaintiff including, hut not limitcd to, telcphone and writtcn communications,
The defendant is cnjoincd from harassing and stalking the plaintiff and from harassing
the plaintiff's relativcs,
The defendant is cnjoined from cntcring the plaintiff's place of cmployment.

This Order shall remain in effect unlll modified or terminated by Ihe Court after notice
or hearing and can be extended beyond that time if the Court finds that the defendant has
commilled another act of abuse or has engaged in a pallern or practice that Indicates continued
risk of harm to lhe plaintiff,

as a threat to harl\1 her. The plaintiff, who is close 10 delivering her baby, feared
for her safely and that of her unborn child,
b) On or aboul April 16, 1995, the defendant drove recklessly through the
woods on rugged terrain scaring Ihe plaintiff, who was 8 months pregnant. When
the plaintiff pleaded with Ihe defendant to SlOp and let her out. he drove faster
and more recklessly causing the plaintiff 10 fear for her safety and that of her
unborn child, The defendant took the plaintiff to a friend's home, chased her
about the yard, grabbed her, slammed her against the side of the house, choked
her, head-bullcd her, threatened to "cut the baby out of the plaintiff's belly" and
"eat the baby and the plaintiff's heart." A neighbor distracted the defendant and
his wife took the plaintiff home.
Later that evening the defendant returned home, chased the plaintiff
through a parking lot, threw stones at her, and threatened her saying, "If you
don't get back In the house, 1'1\1 going to fuck your girls." The plaintiff feared
for the safety of her 6 and 3 year old daughters, Someone telephoned the
Pennsylvania State Police who arrested the defendant for public drunkeness and
disorderly conduct. The plaintiff, fearing for her safety and Ihat of her children,
left the residence to avoid further ahuse,
c) In or about January 8, 1995, the defendant grabbed lhe plaintiff, who was
4 1/2 months pregnant, hy her shirt, jerked her toward him, swung her around
and threw her causing lhe plaintiff to fall backward onto the couch, The
defendant pinned the plaintiff down on the couch pUlling his knee on her lap,
as a threat 10 harm hcr, Thc plaintiff, who is closc to dclivcring hcr hahy, fcarcd
for hcr safcty and that of hcr unhorn child,

the couch, thrcw hcr tothc nom, and threatened hcr saying, "I ought to kill that
baby right now," Whcn thc plaintiff ran fromthc defendant, he grabbed hcr by
her shirt, stmck hcr across the facc with the back of his hand, went to his gun
cabinet and thrcatened hcr saying, "Don't go to sleep; You won't wakc up in thc
morning," Fearing that thc dcfcndant was going to kill hcr, thc plaintiff ran from
the house, Thc plaintiff sustained sorencss about hcr head, face and body, a
bloodied n"se, and two bruiscd cycs as a rcsult of this incident.
d) In or about Octobcr, 1994, (as thc plaintiff and hcr childrcn sat in the
car), the dcfendant yclled and screamed at them and pullcd the window out of the
plaintiff's car causing thc plaintiff to fear for hcr safcty and that of hcr children,
e) In or about July, 1994, the defendant grabbed the plaintifrs arm tightly
and would not Ict go despitc hcr crics that hc was hurting hcr. The plaintiff
sustained hruiscs about her arm as a rcsult of this incident.
f) In or about May, 1994, on scvcral occasions thc dcfcndant pushcd thc
plaintiff ahout, and sincc thcn his abusc of thc plaintiff has cscalated and bccomc
morc scverc,

Agreement of the parties, the following Order is entered:
1. The defendant, Lawrence R, Sheller, Jr" is enjoined from physically abusing the
plaintiff, Kristen L. Bitner, and from placing her in fear of abuse.
2. The defendant Is ordered to refrain from harassing and stalking the plaintiff and
from harassing the plaintifrs relatives and the plalntifrs minor children,
3. Court costs and fees are waived.
4. This Order shall remaln in effect for a period of one (I) year and can be extended
beyond that time if the Court finds that the defendant has committed an act of abuse or has
engaged in a pattern or practice that indicates risk of hann to the plaintiff on a continued basil,
This Order shall be enforceable in the same manner as the Court's prior Temporary Protection
Order entered In this case.
.5. This Order may subject the defendant to: I) arrest under 23 Pa. C.S. 06113; ill
a private criminal complaint under 23 Pa. C,S. 06113.1; ili) a charge of Indirect criminal
contempt under 23 Pa. C.S. 06114, punishable by Imprisonment up 10 six months and a fine of
$100.00-$1,000,00; and Iv) civil contcmpt undcr 23 Pa, C,S. 06114,1, ({csumption of co-

residence on the part of the plaintiff and defendant shall not nullify the provisions of the court
order.
6. TIle Carlisle and Middlesex Township Pollee Departments shall be provided wilh
certified copies of this Order by the plaintiffs allorney and may enforce this Order by arrest for
indirect criminal contempt wilhout warrant upon probable cause that this Order has been
violated, whether or not the violation is com milled In the presence of the police officer, In the
event that an arrest Is made under this section, the defendant shall be laken without unnecessary
delay before the court that issued the order, When that court is unavailable, the defendant shall
be laken before the appropriate district justice. (23 P.S. A 6113),
