1. Admitted.
2. Admitted.
4. Admitted in part and denied in part. It is admitted that
Plaintiff provided medical services to Defendant. It specifically
denied that Defendant is responsible for the payment for these
services rendered. To the contrary, services rendered were for a
stomach condition caused by the ingestion of Voltaren, a non-
steroidal anti-inflammatory drug prescribed to the Plaintiff by a
physician treating her for a back injury. said back injury was
acknowledged as being work related by the State Workmans Insurance
Fund and that Insurer is also responsible for the payment for
services rendered to Defendant by Plaintiff. Litigation is pending
against Defendants employer and the State Workmans Insurance Fund
before the Workmans Compensation Judges.
5. Admitted.
6. Denied. By way of further answer, Defendant incorporates
her answer as set forth in paragraph 4 above herein by reference.

WHBREFORE Defendant requests this court to dismiss Plaintiff's

I am a gastl'oenterologist who has careu Cor Ilebbie Dl'ymesser
because of symptoms oC nbuomina1 pain and vomiting that were a
result oC having taken Voltaren, which is a nonsteroidal anti-
inflammatory drug. She took the Voltaren because she had a
herniated uisc which apparently occurred as a result of a work-
relaleu injury when aho was lifting a dog at a kennel where she
works, 'l'hol'e is I1n quest ion in lilY lI1in.l that: she had' a work-related
injury and that tills was tr'3atell w1t:h a Ial'!diuine that caused her to
vomit, anll I perfot'mell a gastroscopy on her on 6/30/92 and found
the antral anu duodenal erosions that was the cause of her
symptoms.
Ilebbie has continued to have problems with vomiting, especially of
blood, and was re-admitteu to Carlisle Hospital in late August. I
performed another gastroscopy on 8/28/92, and I found multiple
erosions in her stomach with evidence of recent bleeding. 'l'he
patient has then had a third aumission to carlisle Hospital on
9/1/92 again with vomiting. I Ceel all of thsse gastrointestinal
oymptoms are rEO] ntRd hl her recent use of nonsteroidal anti-
inflammatory drugs to treat her buck.
