1. Tho plaintiff, Tel"esea A. Deal", is an adult individual
minor residing at 22 Shephal"d Rand, Newville, cumbel"land County,
Pennsylvania 17241.
2. The defendant, Michael A. Hankey, ISSN. unknown)(Date
of Bil"th: unkn~wnl, is an adult Individual residins at 6 Big
Spl"in. Tel"l"ace, Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 17241.
3, The defendant has had an intimate relationship with the
plaintiff.
4. Sines apPl"oximately Beptembol" 1993, the defendant has
attempted to cause and hss Intentionally, knowingly, 01"
recklessly caused bodily injury to the plaintiff, haR placed the
plainLlff In reasonable fear of Imminent serious bodily inJul"Y,
and has knowingly engaged In n course of conducL or I"epeatedly
committed Rcta toward the plaintiff including following the

This haH Inoludod, but 18 not limited to, the following specific
instances of abuse:
a. On 01" about November 3, 1996, aftel" the defendant
received notice that he was in arl"eal"S on child
support, he contacted the plaintiff, thl"eatened to
choke the plaintiff to death, hurt theil" child, and
continued to call hel" repeatedly causing the plaintiff
to fear fol" her safeLy.
b. In 01" about August 1995, after a support hearing
the defendant followed the plaintiff in her car on a
two lAne I"oad and attempted to fOl"ce her car off of the
rand by driving on the wl"ong side of the road next to
her car csusing the plaintiff to fear for her life.
c, In 01" about Beptembel" 1993, when the plaintiff
told the defendant she was pregnant, he pushed the
plaintiff against the emel"gency brake in her car
causing 8 bruise on hel" bac~, grabbed, scratched her
arms, and choked hel". Aftel" the plaintiff ended their
relaLionshlp, the defendant repeatedly harssBed her by
telcphone fol" apPl"oximately six months.
6. The plaintiff bolieves and therefol"e avers thst Rhe Is
in immediate snd present danger of abuse from the defendant and
that she iH In need of proLectlon from such abuBe,
