IN RE: OPINION PURSUANT TO Pa. R.A.P. 1925
Guido, J., June , 2007
On January 31, 2007, the defendant entered a plea of nolo contendere to Count 5
in full satisfaction of all charges at this term and number. On March 20, 2007, we
sentenced the defendant to pay the costs of prosecution plus a fine of $200 and to
undergo a period of probation for 18 months. He has filed this timely pro se appeal from
our sentence.
We directed the defendant to file a Concise Statement of Matters Complained of
on Appeal pursuant to Pennsylvania Rule of Appellate Procedure 1925 (b). What the
defendant filed in response was neither concise nor coherent. In essence his complaints
focus upon the quality of the representation he received from his private counsel. None
1
of those matters were raised before this Court. Therefore, we are not in a position to
comment upon them.

To the extent that the defendant suggests that his plea was not knowingly and intelligently entered, we
would point to the on the record colloquy we conducted on January 31, 2007, along with the “Nolo
Contendere Plea Colloquy” executed by the defendant on the same date.
