'1'hcre being su much practical difficulty in the assessment and collection of the tai on the
increased valuation of personal property for your county, as reported to me by the 13oarcl of
revenue Commissioners, that I have concliuled not to enforce payment on such increase till
after the subject can be submitted to tlie. Legislature for remedy.
You will, for the present, collect and pay over the regular tai of t~vo and a half mills, and
the special tar of one-half mill, as well as the tas oii occmpations, salaries and watches, in
accordance with the assessment made in your county prior to the notification from this llepart-
mcnt of the increased ~aluatioii iuil,osecl by the i~evcnue 13oarcl, viz:
