The intent of these specifications is to thoroughly scrape and clean the structural steel, and apply two coats of paint to Cumberland County Bridges Y-5 and Y-2, bath over Yellow Breeches Creek in Lower Allen Townshipo 20 The work to be performed will consist of furnishing tools, equipment, labor and materials necessary and proper to obtain the results described hereino COUNTY BRIDGE y-Ss 3, County Bridge Y-5 consists of 7 panels C 16'-0" or 112'-0" between End Pins, 14'-9" center to center of Trusses, 18'-0" between centers of top and bottom chords and floor of 5" Open Steel Beanie COUNTY BRIDGE Y-2: 4e County Bridge Y-2 consists of 8 panels @ 16'-4~", or 131'-0" between End Pins, 17'-0" center to center of Trusses, 18'-0" between centers of top and bottom chords and floor of 5" Open Steel Beanie PROPOSALS: 5. All proposals must be for the Work complete in full accordance with these specifications, and shall be made on the form attached to and forming a part o£ these specificationso 6, In case of discrepancy between the writing and figures in the proposal, the amount in writing shall governo - 2 - OERTIFIED CHECK a 7a Each bid must be accompanied by a certified checks drawn on a National dank or Trust Companys payable to the Co~unissioners of Cumberland Countys Pennsylvanian in the amount or amounts set in the advertisements said check or checks to be returned to the bidder unless forfeited under the conditions herein stipulated All such deposits except that made by the successful bidder, will be returned by mail to the name and address given in the proposals within three days after the contract has been awardedo FORFEITURE OR CERTIFIED CHECKo 8o In the event the F~arty or parties to whom the contract is awarded shall fail or neglect to execute the contract and furnish satisfactory bonds in the time spec.ifieds the Owner may determine that the bidder has abandoned the contract and thereupon the proposal and acceptance shall be null and voids and the certified check accompanying the proposal shall be forfeited as liquidated damages for such failure or neglects and to indemnify the Owner for any lose which may be sustained by failure of the bidder to execute the contract and furnish the bondso After the execution of the contract and the acceptance of the bonds by the Owners the check of the successful bidder will be returnedo BONDSo 9~ The Contractor will be required to furnish a bond with a surety Company within ten days after notice of award of contracts in an amount not less than the Lump sums for the faithful performance of the contracts and to indemnify and save harmless the Owner from all suits or actions of any kind or description brought against same for or on account of any injury received or sustained by any party or parties by or from the said Contractors his agents or servants in the construction of his work;
