Sir:
Tae are enclosing from the Governor of the Common-
wealth of Pennsylvania volunteer police officer commissions
and commission cards as shown on attached schedule..
These are to be held in your office until the person named
in the commission shall have been identified to you and
shall have subscribed and sworn to the oath printed on the
reverse side of the commission.
After proper identification of the person named in
the commission, and after such oath shall have been subscribed
and sworn to, the commission, with the oath shall be filed in
your office, and the commission card attached shall be de-
livered to the signator of the oath.
In aid of National Defense will you instruct the
persons commissioned to
1. PersonA,lly deliver the identification card
to the police authority designated in the commission;
2. Sim the identification caxd in the presence
of the police authority designated in the commission;
j. Request the police authority designated in
the commissions to countersign the identification card;
~. Follow instructions given by the police
authority dosignated in the commission.
