the Act of July 18, 1917, P. L. 1062, I have appointed and do by these presents commission him to be a
VOLUNTEER POLICE OFFICER
subject to the authority and direction of

He is, Therefore, To have and to hold the said office, and exercise all the powers of police officers of the
several cities, boroughs and townships of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for the duration of the present
war between the United States of America and Japan, Italy and Germany, or of any war between the United
States of America and any other nation which begins during said conflict, unless this commission be sooner
revoked by the Governor.

thorized by law; that I will not knowingly receive, directly or indirectly, any money or other valuable thing
for the performance or non - performance of any act or duty pertaining to my office, other than the compen-
sation allowed by law.
