and by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and
the Act of July 18, 1917, P. L. 1062, I have appointed and do by these presents commission him to be a
VOLUNTEER POLICE OFFICER
subject to the authority and direction of
Commanding Officer - Pennsylavnia State Police - Bedford
He is, Therefore, To have and to hold the said office, and exercise all the powers of police officers of the
several cities, boroughs and townships of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for the duration of the present
war between the United States of America and Japan, Italy and Germany, or of any war between the United
States of America and any other nation which begins during said conflict, unless this commission be sooner
revoked by the Governor.
GIVEN under my hand and the Great Seal of the Common-
wealth, at the City of Harrisburg, this eighteenth day
of January in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and forty ,six and of the Commonwealth
seventieth
