Zerbe, III. Following a review of the record, the exceptions are dismissed and the Master’s Report and Recommendation are adopted in their entirety. Defendant does not raise any factual objections regarding the Master’s determination of his and Plaintiff’s respective income. Instead, Defendant’s sole basis for filing exceptions is that he claims he cannot afford to pay his monthly support obligation as determined. Child support is considered a priority obligation and a party is expected to meet that obligation by adjusting his or her other expenditures even if it causes some hardship or requires the sacrificing of personal comfort. Horst v. Horst, 11 Pa. D. & C.4th 444 (York Co. 1990). A person's child support obligation is determined primarily by the parties' actual financial resources and their earning capacity and in accordance with the Basic Child Support Schedule, codified at Pa. R.C.P. No. 1910.16-13. 228 SUPPORT 2011 Here, the Support Master calculated Defendant’s support obligation using the standard guidelines. See Support Master’s Report Ex. A. For his part, Defendant has failed to offer any reason why the court should deviate from those guidelines other than his difficulty satisfying his obligation. Simply put, that is not a valid reason to reduce the support award. The Exceptions are dismissed.
